Jackie Bateman

Jackie Raymond Bateman, 78, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on June 1, 1932 in Bixby, Oklahoma, the son of Everett Bateman and Flo J. (Durham) Bateman. He was raised in Pryor and played football for Pryor High School. He enjoyed red cars and sharing them with his family. Jackie enjoyed being outdoors doing his yard work. Jackie faithfully served his Country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. A time in his life that meant so much to him. Jackie attended all the Pryor High School Reunions, enjoying catching up with old friends. Everyone loved to see Uncle Jack come to visit because it was always a time of fun for everyone. Jack will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors being presented by the Tinker Air Force Honor Guard. He is survived by his Nieces, Mary Jane and Jerry Grady Harves of Independence, MO, Pam Grindstead of Alamogordo, NM, Tammy Bateman of Sand Springs, OK and Theresa Bateman of Tulsa, OK; nephews, Dennis Turner of Independence, MO, Danny and wife, Cindy Bateman of Valley Mills, TX; sister-in-law, Shirley Bateman; 8 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nephews; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by Bootsie Jane Bateman, Everett Booth Bateman Jr., Jim Bateman, his parents, Everett and Flo Bateman.
