Wanda Doyle

Wanda Rose Doyle, 75, of Pryor, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 4, 1937 in near Peggs in Cherokee County, the daughter of Frank Scroggins and Beulah (Terrell) Scroggins. She married Thomas William Doyle in Locust Grove, Oklahoma on October 8, 1955. She and Tommy made a home together, raising two sons, Dwain and Stan. She was a member of the Iron Post Free Holiness Church. Wanda loved animals and being outdoors. She enjoyed walking in the woods, picking wild onions, blackberries and wild mushrooms. Wanda enjoyed sports, especially the New York Yankees. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved her Lord and her family. Funeral Services for Wanda will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Iron Post Free Holiness Church with Reverend Travis Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Hogan Cemetery at Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Gene Barrington, Ronnie Harvey, Rick Holt, Larry Scroggins, Terry Whitaker and Montie Whitaker serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Wanda is survived by her husband, Tommy of the home; her sons, Dwain and wife Maureen Doyle of Pryor, OK and Stan and wife, Valerie Doyle of Pryor, OK; her brother, Corky and wife, Ardena Scroggins of Bartlesville, OK; her sister, Noralee Whitaker of Salina, OK; two grandchildren, John David and wife, Teresa Weaver and Ethan Doyle; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Beulah Scroggins; siblings, Rev. Coy Scroggins, Edna Mae Holt, Faye Johnson, Rhoda Johnston and an infant brother.
