Terry Taylor, Sr.

Terry Lynn Taylor, Sr., 70, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 6, 1950 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Vester and Opal (Moore) Taylor. Terry faithfully served in the United States Army from July 25, 1968 until being honorably discharged on December 1, 1970. Terry was an avid OU Sooners fan and was a bass player. He was a man of faith and was a member of Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood and attended the Pryor Assembly of God. Terry looked forward to family gatherings, especially when large family meals were being prepared. His door was always open to his friends and family and enjoyed spending time with those he loved most. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Pryor Assembly of God with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Terry is survived by his wife, Lois Taylor of the home; sons, Terry “Noony” Taylor, Jr. and wife Kara of Salina, Oklahoma, Chris Taylor and wife Raychelle of Peggs, Oklahoma, Zach Taylor of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Chad Michael Taylor of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Whitley Pickup and husband Todd of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Dean Taylor and wife Allene of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Gene Taylor and wife Sheila of Salina, Oklahoma, Larry Taylor of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; sister, Shirley Giles of Pryor, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Opal Taylor and brother, Gary Taylor.
