Aaron Walden

October 16, 1974 — May 14, 2015

Aaron Bruce Walden, 40, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Aaron was born to Rick & Glenda Walden in Pryor on October 16, 1974. He attended schools in Pryor, Adair, Elgin, Chelsea, and Davao City, Philippines, graduating from the University of Nebraska High School in 1993. Aaron studied at Rogers State University in Claremore and Bacone College in Muskogee and lacked only a few classes graduating from Bacone College with a 4.0 average, when physical problems prevented him from completing his ministry degree. Aaron was a student of life and nature. He shared his dad's love of travel, photography, history, and exploring his heritage. He shared his mother's love of music, poetry, and hatred of flying. He and his sister, Traci had a special closeness, having shared the same adventures and experiences of life created by frequent moves for ministry and both share a great love of God and ministry. They lived together after returning to the U. S. for college and still communicated almost daily. He dearly loved and shared the lives of his nieces and nephews until his death. Aaron entered the ministry and was making plans to pioneer a church in Adair, but discontinued them upon learning that the Gains were doing so. Later he joined his parents in co-pastoring Harvestime Church after the death of Pastor Gains. Serving seven years as worship leader, Aaron filled the pulpit frequently, and performed numerous functions in the church. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 P. M. in the Harvestime Church in Adair with visitation in Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor Monday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. The Rev. Dr. Leroy Thompson and Rev.
