Alice Faye Copeland, born Alice Faye Brown on March 24, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri, was the youngest daughter of twelve children of Nathel and Frankie Brown of Joplin, Missouri. Alice attended Joplin High School and graduated in 1970. She worked at St. John's Hospital in Joplin as a secretary in radiology. In late 1973, she met Steve Copeland, and on September 1, 1975, Alice and Steve were married in Joplin, Missouri. They moved to Oklahoma City for a short time before settling down in Tulsa, OK, where Alice worked for OG&E as a secretary. Alice later opened two businesses: a bar called The Bar and a Bill & Ruth's sandwich shop.
On November 12, 1989, Alice and Steve welcomed their only child, Anna Lee Copeland, who was their pride and joy. Alice was a caring and loving mother, teaching Anna everything she could. Alice and Steve moved to Port Pleasure at Grand Lake. After Steve’s passing, Alice relocated to Pryor, OK.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her parents; ten of her siblings; and her nephew, Michael Tyree. She is survived by her daughter, Anna, and her husband, Heath Beckham, of Pryor, OK. She is also survived by her nephew David and Lisa Tyree of Wagoner, OK, and their three sons: Samuel Tyree, who has three daughters and one son; Dave and Katie Tyree, who have one son and three daughters; and Steven and Shelby Tyree, who have three daughters. Additionally, she is survived by Shane and Michelle Tyree of Amarillo, TX, and their two children and one grandson, as well as Julia Tyree of Fritch, TX, along with her five children and four grandchildren.
