Alice Sanders

Alice Beatrice Sanders, 81, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 25, 1930 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, the daughter of Dave Chuwanasky Downing and Lizzie Constitution Downing. She retired from Wickliffe Schools as custodian. Alice was a member of Standing Rock Church and enjoyed going to church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to country music. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Standing Rock Church with Reverend Bridge Chuckluck and Reverend Junior Loftus officiating. Interment will be in the Grass Cemetery with Jerry Littledave, Albert Easter, Gabby Willhite, Richard Thompson, Joe Thompson and Eddie Pickup serving as casket bearers. She is survived by her sons, Charlie Sanders Jr. , Robert Lee Sanders, Tommy Sands Sanders all of Salina, OK; daughter, Teresa Lynn Sanders and Virgil Stealer of Salina, OK; her grandchildren, Sheena Lynn Stealer, Virgil Lynn Stealer Jr., Damien Clyde Stealer and Amy Willhite; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Ann Sanders; grandson, Patrick William Sanders; her brothers, Chester and Lee Downing, half-brothers, John and Chandler Six; her sister, Maude Bowers;
