Alice Swift

Alice Marie Swift, 75, of Vinita, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born on July 18, 1935 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the daughter of J.B. Bowline and Cora (Cornett) Bowline. Alice retired from the Home of Hope working as a caregiver most of her life. She enjoyed spending time on the ranch with her grandson. Alice always enjoyed helping others. She was a lovely lady who will be so very missed by the many people whose lives were touched by her. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 in the Family Praise Center in Vinita, Oklahoma with Reverend Jerry Ogdon and Reverend Lynn Bartgis officiating. Interment will be in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery with Kyle McClain, Michael Inman, Kendal Mullings, Randy Grubbs, John Dixson and Michael Argeanton serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Wayne Bacon and Bill Bowline. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening. Alice is survived by her son, Randy Joe Swift of Vinita, OK; her daughter, Brenda Dunphin of Spavinaw, OK; her sister, Mary Steffen of Eucha, OK; three grandchildren, Brady Goff, Katrina Swift, Bobby Joe Swift; three great grandchildren, Joshua Goff, Jaden Carrosco and Kata Carrosco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Swift in 1977; one grandson, Ricky Joe Swift; four brothers and three sisters.
