Anna Belle (Owings) Jackson 86, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was born on November 13, 1930 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to the late Oliver S. and late Rena Belle (Parkhurst) Owings. Anna Belle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marshall Owings, Ross Junior (RJ) Owings; sisters Erma Lee Owings and Vera Jean Wolff. She married the love of her life and husband of nearly 69 years, Jay Lee Jackson, on November 17, 1948. She is also survived by three daughters: Debbie Lea Latimer (Larry) of Montgomery, TX, Connie Ann Shields (David) of Owasso, OK and Becky K Lawmaster (Randy) of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren: Brandi R. Malloy, Michael Jay Latimer, Zack J Lawmaster, Chrysta Ann Latimer, Lacy Lyn Jamison; and five great-grandchildren: Chase and Cole Malloy, Jaxson and Jordyn Latimer, and Maddox Jay Jamison; a brother, Frank Owings (Helen) of Pryor, OK and a sister, Susie Maddux (Larry) of Granbury, TX. She has many other extended family members that she loved dearly.

Anna Belle will be remembered by those who knew her as one who had the God-given gift of hospitality. She welcomed you into her home and made you feel comfortable and special every time. She lovingly and carefully stitched memories into the fabric of our lives and we will be forever grateful for each selfless sacrifice she made. She was a gifted seamstress, awesome cook, a green thumb flower gardener, a committed follower of Jesus Christ and faithful friend. Anna Belle was a member of the Share and Care Sunday School class at First Church of God and was a very active member in her church where she served in the nursery and provided countless meals to bereaving families. She ran the race of life and won. Well done, good and faithful servant.

A memorial service to celebrate Anna Belle's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 13 at First Church of God at 18 S. Rowe Street in Pryor. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Pryor. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to: Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
