Anna Earline Smith

Anna Earline Smith, 93, of Locust Grove, passed from this life on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home. She was born on March 21, 1929, in Caney, Kansas; the daughter of Clifford and Margie (Banks) Kinney. She married Roy Smith on June 24, 1952, in Huntsville, Arkansas and they spent many wonderful years together until his passing in August of 1989. She spent her life tending to her home and taking care of her family. She enjoyed camping and any chance she had to travel. She also loved flowers and her birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. More than anything, she loved her family and the time spent with them. She leaves behind many wonderful memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed.

The funeral service for Anna will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Crossroads Assembly of God in Chouteau, with Reverend Jess Stipes officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Brandon Doyle, Brandon Doughty, Jarred Doughty, Michael Smith Jr., Carl Smith, and Garrett Smith serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Justin Hendrickson, Joey Dale, Jerry Corbett, and Clifford Tipton. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Shipman’s Funeral Home. She is survived by her son, Michael Smith and wife Dorothy of Chouteau; daughters, Brenda Doyle and husband Robert of Peggs, and Darcy Doughty and husband Aaron of Locust Grove; daughter in law, Dorothy Smith of Pryor; brother, Eugene Kinney of Ramona, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Margie; husband, Roy Smith; sons, Clifford, Dennis, and David Smith; and sisters, Norma Madison and Joan Mason.
