Archie Joyner

Archie Dee Joyner, 93, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 in Pryor. He was born on December 9, 1925 in Grand Saline, Texas; the son of Marvin Alexander and Sudie (King) Joyner. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Archie worked as a carpenter most of his life for Unarco in Wagoner. Archie enjoyed working in his flower garden and working with his hands, building birdhouses and various items out of wood. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Archie is survived by his sons, Anthony Joyner and wife April of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Scott Joyner and wife Ruthie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Debbie Lyon and husband Tony of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 1 grandson, Lucas Joyner of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Sudie Joyner, wife, Dorothy Joyner, 1 brother, Cosby Joyner and 4 sisters, Lodina, Isora, Juanita, and Lovera.
