Arthur Unrau

Arthur Unrau, the son of Peter V. Helena (Schmidt) Unrau, was born on August 2, 1912 in Moundridge, Kansas. He passed away in Pryor at the age of 98. Arthur was a farmer, stockman dairyman all of his life. He and his family moved from Kansas to the Inola Oklahoma area in 1917. He attended school at Pleasant View School, and was married to Frieda M. (Regier) on May 25, 1940 in Inola, Oklahoma. He was member of the Eden Mennonite Church where he was baptized on June 8, 1930. Arthur loved his family and his Lord, leaving a legacy of love for his family to cherish. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Eden Mennonite Church with Rev. David A. Wiens officiating. Interment will be in the Eden Mennonite Cemetery in Inola, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening. Unrau wife Roberta of Pryor, OK; his daughter, Mary Helen Hardy husband, Jack of Pryor, OK; four grandchildren, Chris Sheila Hardy of Chouteau, OK, Melinda Hardy of Stillwater, OK, Amy Unrau of Phoenix, AZ, Brad Unrau of Pryor, OK; two great grandchildren, Zachary Katelyn Hardy of Chouteau, OK; two-brothers, Rahlen Margaret Unrau of Chouteau, OK, Rev. William Unrau of Lincoln, NE; one sister-in-law, Ruth Unrau of Bluffton, OH; one brother-in-law, John Miller of Reedley, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife Frieda in 2002; his parents, Peter and Helena Unrau; two brothers, Marvin Walter Unrau; four sisters, Ella husband, Ted Pankratz, Martha husband, Willard Graber, Wilma Miller, Linda Unrau.
