Aylean Hampton

Aylean Hampton, 98, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Hope, Arkansas in Hempstead County, the daughter of James Washington White and Katie Bell (Eason) White. She married Ray "Buck" Hampton on June 8, 1939 in Yuma, Arizona and had celebrated 71 years of marriage this past June. She and Buck moved from California to Oklahoma in November of 2004. Aylean enjoyed cooking and doing activities with her children and grandchildren. She was a lovely lady who enjoyed always looking nice and going out to lunch with family and friends. She enjoyed playing card games, Skip Bo, Uno and also dominos. She especially enjoyed going shopping and watching her favorite TV shows, Young The Restless, 60 Minutes and the Price Is Right. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the First Christian Presbyterian Church in Pryor, Oklahoma, with Reverend Mark Newman officiating. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ray "Buck" Hampton of the home; her son, Rod Hampton of Pryor, OK; her daughter, Linda Sue Jajosky and husband, Charles, of Irvine, CA; two grandchildren, Laura Ellen Morgan and husband, Matthew, of Arlington, VA and Sarah Elizabeth Jajosky of Irvine, CA; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one infant child; four brothers and two sisters.
