Bailey Ray Ables, also known to many as Bail, passed away on August 19, 2023, in Salina, Oklahoma. Born on November 23, 1995, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bailey filled his 27 years of life with love and compassion that touched the hearts of many.
Bailey graduated from Salina High School with the class of 2014. Known for his kind and polite nature, he possessed a remarkable ability to strike up conversations with anyone he came across. Bailey's warm personality drew people towards him effortlessly. He cherished being in the company of others and was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. Bailey's loving nature extended beyond strangers; he dedicated his time taking care of his papa and granny and shared a special bond with his little brother, Hunter. Moreover, children held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed any time spent around them.
Bailey had a profound passion for horses and was often found atop a horse, going to a team ropin or spending his time training anytime he had the chance.
Bailey will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his parents Donell and Stephen Newby of Salina, OK, and Wade Ables of Pryor. His brothers Hunter Newby of Salina, OK, and Taylon Ables and wife Lindsey also of Salina; grandparents, Runt and Brenda Ingle of Salina; Stewart and Debbie Newby of Spavinaw, and Linda Biscorner of Pryor, OK. Alongside his immediate family are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a vast community of friends who held Bailey dear to their hearts. He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Frank Ables; great grandparents, and numerous uncles.
Bailey brought an abundance of love into the lives around him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
A funeral service for Bailey will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow at the Ross-Mayes Cemetery with Boo Ingle, Casey Stipes, Jesse Stipes, Leon Stipes, Jesse Phillips, Zach Phillips, Scott Merritt, and Marcus Foreman serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers include, Puddin Ingle, David Ingle, Kevin Beck, Chandler Beck, Ben Foreman, Branson Littlefield, and Gibson Littlefield. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
