Barbara (Ballou) Wickliffe

Barbara Jean (Ballou) Wickliffe, 69, of Salina, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 in Tulsa. She was born on August 25, 1950 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of Rufus Ballou, Sr. and Jennie (Kingfisher) Ballou. She worked at Wickliffe Schools for many years as a Library aid, and also assisted with coaching basketball and other activities at the school. She married Jimmie Wickliffe on May 7, 1982. Barbara enjoyed so many things like being outdoors doing her yardwork, playing bingo, baking for her family and watching the Dallas Cowboys.  She attended New Jordan Baptist Church where she enjoyed her church family and worshipping her Lord.  Barbara loved her family and all the time she could spend with each.  She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the New Jordan Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Budder and Reverend Russell Feeling officiating.  Interment will follow in the Grass Cemetery with Carl Ballou, Danny Wadlow, Forrest Gardner, Curtis Dry, Darren Cochran and Randy Scott serving as casket bearers. She is survived by her mother, Jennie Ballou of Salina, Oklahoma; sisters, Rhonda Ballou, Dee Wadlow, Marianne Ballou, Rose Jones, Imogene Ballou all of Salina, Oklahoma, sisters, Geraldine Ross and Ina Budder of Kenwood, Oklahoma; brothers, Rufus Ballou Jr. of Joplin, Missouri, Bobby Ballou of Oaks, Oklahoma and Carl Ballou of Chelsea, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Wickliffe; her father, Rufus Ballou Sr.; brothers, Terry Ballou, Steven K. Ballou and Ronald James Ballou.
