Barbara Curnutt

Barbara Dell Curnutt, 73, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on December 28, 1942 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Dell and Roberta Jobe. She was a 1960 graduate of Pryor High School and attended Rogers State University in the late 1980's. She worked with Child Abuse Prevention in 1987 - 1989 and was also a homemaker. She married Hal "Buddy" Curnutt on January 6, 1961; after 53 years of marriage, Buddy preceded her in death in February 2014. Memorial services will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. She is survived by her daughters: Cathy Johnson of Pryor and husband Gary, Cyd Sherman and husband Mike, also of Pryor. Barbara is also survived by a granddaughter, Halle Sherman of Pryor. Other survivors are her brothers: Russell Jobe of Tulsa and Gary Jobe of Sapulpa. A memorial service will be held from 6-8 pm, May 24 at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Roberta Jobe; and her husband of 53 years, Hal "Buddy" Curnutt.
