Hulbert

Barbara Lynne Joice, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and Meme, passed away June 9,2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 18, 1950, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and her church. Barbara dedicated herself to serving others through her various roles as a secretary for Citgo Oil, Park Lane Elementary in Broken Arrow, Broken Arrow Church of Christ, Chouteau Hills Church of Christ, and numerous other churches in the area. She spent 13 years in the Hulbert area, but called Oklahoma her home throughout her life, residing in Wagoner and Broken Arrow as well. A proud member of the South College Church of Christ in Tahlequah. Barbara was actively involved in youth camps and women's activities in her home churches throughout her life. She had a kind and compassionate heart, always reaching out to others by sending cards, texts, and offering daily prayers for those in need. Her love for the outdoors was evident as she enjoyed camping, fishing, and singing around campfires. On July 31, 1970, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she married Bill Joice, beginning a journey of love and companionship that would define their lives and shape their family's future. This moment marked the start of a partnership that brought shared dreams, lasting memories, and a foundation of love that would influence their entire family for generations to come. One of her greatest joys was playing with and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored as "her babies." Family was at the center of Barbara's universe. In honoring Barbara's memory, let us cherish the moments shared with this remarkable woman who epitomized love, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to God, her family and church.

Barbara will be dearly missed by her surviving family members: her loving husband Bill Joice of the home; daughter, Julie Philbin and husband Kevin of Pryor, Oklahoma; son, Chad Joice and wife Wendy of Collinsville, Oklahoma; brothers, Kenneth Wadsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Russell Wadsworth and wife Terri of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Lonnie Wadsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Bailee Igo and husband Tyler, Dillon Doss and wife Bobbi, Jimmy Philbin and wife Haley, Parkyre Doss, Brecken Joice, Camdyn Joice and Bentley Joice; 4 great grandchildren, Raegan Igo, Oaklynn Philbin, Forrest Igo and Maggie Doss.
