Barbara Jean Keadle, 82, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on April 23, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the daughter of Franklin and Mary (Sole) Pigeon. On November 22, 1953, at the age of 19, Barbara married Alvin Keadle in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a proud Navy wife. Barbara worked as a homemaker most of her life, enjoying the time she was able to spend raising her children and tending to the house. Barbara and Alvin moved to the Pryor area in 1974, coming from California. She was a member of the North Elliott Church of God in Pryor. Her church family brought a great amount of joy to her life and she enjoyed attending services and church events. She enjoyed watching television, trying her best not to miss, Pat Sajak. She also worked on cross stitch, and ceramics. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having family over to spend time with them. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and leaves behind a legacy for them all to cherish. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a blessing to all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Barbara will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., in the North Elliott Church of God with Mike Bednar officiating. Burial will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Dennis Cook, Allen Weaver, Allen Odell Weaver, Gary Jahn, James Cornett, Cale Ingle, and Loren Tooley serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Stephen Ingle, Mike Keadle, and Stephen Keadle. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her sons, Larry Keadle of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Keadle of Amarillo, Texas, and Stephen Keadle of Langley, Oklahoma; daughters, Kathy Morgan of Amarillo, Texas, Carolyn Keadle and husband Gary of Geneva, Illinois, Karen Cook and husband Dennis of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Sue Weaver and husband Allen of Pryor, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; parents, Franklin and Mary Pigeon; 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 grandchildren.
