Barbara Shocklee

Barbara Jo Shocklee was born on December 10, 1979 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma; the daughter of Bobby Grass and Kathy Grass. Barbara was married to Christopher Shocklee on February 7, 1998 and separated in 2010, but remained close friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies, they were her world as well as her children. She loved music and loved to draw and write. She was also a big fan of Oklahoma Sooners, once she went to a Texas and OU rivalry game, she said she mostly watched Bob Stoops and laughed. Barbara was saved and baptized in the year of 1999. She was loved by many and will be missed forever.

The funeral service for Barbara will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clifford Loftis Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Euwasha Cemetery in Kenwood with Chris Rich, Rodney Roper, Jason Grass, Les Shocklee, Brian Wilson, Chris Shocklee, Billy Smoke, and Calvin Compton serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Matthew Grass, Sandy Grass, April Grass, and Rietta Grass. A wake service will be held from 3:00 p.m., until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 9, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Barbara is survived by her parents, Kathy Grass of Locust Grove and Bobby Grass of Kenwood; sons, Dylan Shocklee and girlfriend Katie Daniels of Oaks, Christopher Shocklee of Oaks and Evan Shocklee of Spavinaw; daughters, Candessa Shocklee of Spavinaw and Evangelina Shocklee and boyfriend Rodney Roper of Salina; 4 grandchildren, Karter and Madilyn Shocklee, William Mosby, and Ryatt Roper; brother, Matthew Grass of Spavinaw; 7 sisters, Rietta Grass of Salina, April Grass of Rose, Sandy Grass of Grove, Dawnte’a Grass of Grove, Jenisa, Isabella and Jess – Lynn Grass of Locust Grove; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparent’s Jess and Betty Grass; Alex Sawney; Sally Thompson; 2 Uncle’s Jess Grass Jr. and Michael Sawney.
