Chouteau

Barbara Ann (Caldwell) Wood was born on February 27, 1956, in Santa Maria, California, to Fern and Walter Caldwell. She was the second of six children. The family moved to Washington when she was seven years old, where she had to babysit the younger ones while both parents worked. When she was 20 years old, she moved with the family to Oklahoma where she met and married the love of her life, Edward Wood. They remained there together for 47 years until his passing in 2023. She loved collecting birds, clocks, and wind chimes. She was always taking care of others. If someone was sick, she was always there. She loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying the day. She also raised her granddaughter, Phylis Lohmann and her niece, Sarah Ros. She loved caring for others but most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wood; both parents; and three brothers, Walter, James, and Dennis.

She is survived by her children, Edward Wood and wife Jana of Concord, Mike Emery and wife Lea of Chouteau, Carla Casey and partner Jason Richie of Claremore, Amanda Wood and partner Trisha Haney of Chouteau, Walter Wood of Catoosa, Janice Lewis and husband Travis of Hoonah, Alaska, and Toni Jackson of Tulsa; Phillis Lohmann and partner Timothy Barnett; Sarah Ros and partner John Dulac; three sisters, Jewel Ros and husband Ed, Rita Mink and husband Tim of Paris, Arkansas, Joann Glasgow and husband Brian of Benton City, WA; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
