Ben Ewing

Ben Ewing, 78, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on September 24, 1936 in Paris, Arkansas, the son of Ben Joseph Ewing and Vera (Spicer) Ewing. He married the love of his life, Dalene Francis Ellison who preceded him in death. Ben worked for Carl Shalley Construction driving heavy equipment. Ben took pride in his home, keeping his yard always mowed and edged perfectly. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing especially. He enjoyed church activities. Ben dearly loved his family, especially his son Dale who survives him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Tim Mahurin officiating. The service will conclude in the chapel. He is survived by his son, Dale Ewing of Shady Rest Nursing Home; his cousins, Corbin and Betty Wood of Prairie Grove, AR; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a baby daughter.
