Bernice Stahl

Bernice B. Stahl, 89, of Pryor, Oklahoma passed away on March 16, 2011 in Vinita, Oklahoma. The daughter of Pete Rassie (Shelby) Atchley she was born on January 21, 1922 in Gould, Oklahoma. Bernice grew up and graduated High School from Gould, Oklahoma. She married L.E. Stahl on October 24, 1942 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Bernice attended college at S.W. State College at Weatherford and holds a Masters degree in Education. Mrs. Stahl was a Home Economics English teacher and had taught at Beaver, Oklahoma, Selman, Oklahoma and then in Stockton, California for many years. She and her husband moved to Pryor in 1986. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pryor, and she loved to cook, sew and travel. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Reverend Todd Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor with Ryan Conley, Scott Stahl, Patrick Stahl, Heath Head, Rodney Darnell and Clay Rice servng as casket bearers. Ten grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren; two brothers, Randall Atchley wife Rose of Amarillo, TX and Kenneth Atchley wife Marie of Quinlan, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband L.E. in 1998, one son-in-law; Dr. Pat Conley, seven-brothers, two-sisters and her parents.
