Betty Dooley

Betty Jean Dooley, 76, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her home. She was born on August 12, 1942 in Porum, Oklahoma; the daughter of Fred and Virgie (Parent) Stimson. Betty married Jim Dooley on October 9, 1959 in Pryor and have celebrated almost 60 years of marriage. She was a member of the Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau. Betty’s family lovingly remembered her as the most devoted Christian they ever knew. She never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with anyone. Betty cared for everyone the same, unconditionally, especially to her family. She looked forward to spending time with her kids and grandkids. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 in the Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau with Pastor Mark Johnson and Pastor Scotty Stimson officiating. Betty is survived by her husband, Jim Dooley of the home; sons, Jim Dooley and wife Valerie of Pryor, Oklahoma, Mike Dooley and wife Larisa of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Bob Dooley and wife Jeanette of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Freddie Stimson and wife Darla of Pryor, Oklahoma and Scotty Stimson and wife Azalea of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters, Linda Wassom and husband Kenny of Wagoner, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Virgie Stimson; sisters, Ruby and Jaynell; great grandson, Nathanial Dooley.
