Betty Pearl Hawkins, a cherished matriarch, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. Born on December 2, 1932, in Markley, Texas, Betty lived a life brimming with cherished memories and irreplaceable moments.

She married Lowell D. Hawkins Sr. on October 10, 1950, at the tender age of 17. Their union exemplified love and companionship as they navigated life's journey side by side, creating a family filled with warmth and support. Betty had the honor of being a dedicated mother to her children, Sue Green, Karen Pavia, and Dale Hawkins. She shared her life with her son and his wife, Linda, residing in Chouteau, OK, and with her daughter and son-in-law, Johnny, in Novata, CA. Over the years, she took great pride in being a grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored endlessly.

Betty's passions extended into her daily life where she found joy in hobbies such as solving picture puzzles, reading, gardening, and sewing. A lover of sports, she followed Chouteau high school basketball and fondly reminisced about her time playing softball during her years in Germany. Her adventurous spirit also led her to live in Hawaii and El Paso, enriching her life’s experiences.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell; her daughter, Sue Green; her parents, Charles and Mabel Williams; and her sisters, Marie Edwards, Catherine Devers, Mae Devers, Irene Gilbo, and Charlene Smith.

She is survived by her loving family, which includes her son Dale Hawkins and wife Linda, her daughter Karen Pavia and husband Johnny, her six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as brothers-in-law Joe Hawkins of Tulsa, OK, and Bill Smith of Chouteau, OK.
