Betty Lee James, 83, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Betty was born on November 21, 1927 in Salina, Oklahoma, the daughter of Tyler Chuckluck and Jennie (Rogers) Chuckluck. She married Jessie James, who preceded her in death in 1986. She worked for Simmons Food. Betty was a member of the New Jordan Baptist Church. She loved bingo and quilting. She also enjoyed working search word puzzles and cooking for her family. Betty loved her family and spending time with them. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the First Indian Baptist Church with Reverend Bridge Chuckluck officiating. Interment will be in the Grass Cemetery at Salina, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be Rodney James, Travis Lary, Roger Dale Gilley, Derek Harry, Bo James and Corey Pickup. Betty is survived by her sons, Pete and wife, Joyce James of Salina, OK and Edward and wife, Mary James of Eucha, OK; her daughters, Trudy and husband, Michael Vincent of Salina, OK, Louise James of Salina, OK and Leona and husband, Roger Gilley of Salina, OK; her sister, Fannie Murphy of Skiatook, OK; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James; two sons, Jessie James Jr. and Bobby James; one sister, Ella Levi; one brother, Bridge Churckluck Sr.
