Betty Jordan

Betty Jane Hughes - Jordan, 73, of Adair, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 in Adair. She was born on December 16, 1943 in Adair; the daughter of M.C. "Shorty" Hughes and Opal (Garner) Hughes. Betty graduated from Adair High School in the Class of 1962 and was a lifelong resident of the area, and owned B.J.'s Donut Shop for many years. She enjoyed bird watching, sewing and traveling. Betty also looked forward to trips to the casino with her husband, Paul. She had a special place in her heart for her two grandchildren, and enjoyed each moment she had to spend with her family. She leaves behind many memories for her loved ones to remember.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Adair with Reverend Carl Helmuth officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery with Drew Crawford, Logan Crawford, Randy Fiedler, Landon Hayes, George Walker, and Frank Zoski serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m,. Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Betty is survived by her husband, Paul Jordan of the home; son, Stanley Crawford and wife Lesa of Adair, Oklahoma; daughter, Melissa Heflin and husband Brian of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; sister, Connie Lundy of Ketchum, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Drew and Logan. She is preceded in death by her parents, M.C. "Shorty" and Opal Hughes, sister, Helen; and brothers, Earl, Leroy, Marvin, and Paul.
