Betty Morgan

Betty Lois (Bailey) Morgan, 83, of Pryor passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on January 21, 1933 in Stillwell, Oklahoma; the daughter of John and Mary (Essary) Bailey. On August 03, 1952, she married Robert E. Morgan in Buckeye, Arizona at Assembly of God Church. Betty and Robert made a great example of true love for they just celebrated 64 years together. She had a passion for gardening, picking blackberries and canning apple butter. She was very close to her family and especially her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She cherished each moment she had to spend with them. Betty wasn't ashamed of her love for Christ, she would sit around humming, singing or just praying, didn't matter who was around. Her smile and laugh would light up a room. She will be remembered by all the wonderful memories she leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Stillwell Cemetery with Travis Egnor, Ronnie Morgan, Thomas Ashmore, William Ashmore, Dillen Carlson, and Trysten Easter serving as Casket Bearers. Tylor Easter serving as Honorary Casket Bearer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the Shipmans Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Morgan of the home; sons, Ronnie Morgan of Pryor, Oklahoma, William Ashmore Jr. and wife Christy of Iowa ; sisters, Edith Arend of Arizona, Karen Bailey of Arizona, Johnie Woodward of Arizona, Joyce Mckinney of Arizona, Esther Chilson of Oregon; brothers, Vernon Bailey of Californa, Dewey Bailey of Idaho; granddaughters, Julia Egnor and husband Travis of Pryor, Oklahoma, Valerie Morehead of California; grandsons, Thomas Ashmore and wife Shari of Littleaxe, Oklahoma, Ronnie Morgan Jr. of California; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Mary Bailey; son, Jonny Morgan; daughters, Rosemary Houston and Julia Morehead; sisters, Margaret Morgan and Wanda Kimbrell; brother, Joe Bailey; granddaughters, Lois Snow and Jamie Houston
