Betty O'Neal

Betty Jo O'Neal, 88, of Chouteau, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was born on May 23, 1929 in Pharoah, Oklahoma; the daughter of James C. and Jessie Pearl (Bynum) Burns. She was a homemaker most of her life, and also worked for Byron Jackson Pump in Tulsa for 15 years. She was a member of the Chouteau Church of Christ and lived in the area for 30 years, coming from Glenpool. Betty went to Sertoma for meals, and enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool with her friends. She also like to sew, crochet, do embroidery work, and go square dancing. She looked forward to spending time with her family and enjoyed each moment she had with them. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the Chouteau Church of Christ with Reverend Steve Lay and Reverend Shannon Tipton officiating. Betty is survived by her son, Larry Coppedge and wife Donna of Chouteau, Oklahoma; daughters, Susan Hibbler and husband Wade of Inola, Oklahoma and Deborah Allison of Chouteau, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Bryan Coppedge, Craig Coppedge, Brandon Moydell, Jeremy Allison, Sarah Reichert, and Matt Ledbetter; 8 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Burns; daughter, Kristy Ledbetter; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
