Beverly Ann Anderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and, passed away on May 20, 2024 in Salina, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. She was born on January 27, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Bud and Doris (Frye) Wheeler.
Beverly led a remarkable life filled with love, faith, and service. After staying at home with her children when they were young, she embarked on a diverse career path that showcased her dedication and passion. From working at the Mayes County Abstract Office to the Pryor Veterinary clinic, Beverly's work ethic and kindness touched the lives of many. In her later years, she followed her calling to serve as a missionary in Malawi, Africa, spreading hope and compassion through the Southern Baptist Church's International Mission Board. Despite retiring for 15 years now, Beverly's legacy of selflessness and devotion continues to inspire all who knew her. As a devout Christian, Beverly's faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her unwavering belief and commitment to serving others left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her warm smile and kind heart reflected her deep spirituality.
Outside of her professional endeavors and missionary work, Beverly found joy in various hobbies and interests. An avid horsewoman, she thrived in competing in the hunter/jumper show rings. For over two decades, she generously shared her expertise by teaching children how to ride and compete in the show ring. Her family held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Beverly will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to resonate for generations to come.
Beverly is survived by her children, Jess Anderson and wife Freda, of Pryor, Oklahoma, Billy Anderson and life partner Melinda Lamar, of Pryor, Oklahoma, Michael Anderson and wife Brenda, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, and Katherine Baker and husband Paul of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister Patsy; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Doris Wheeler; husband, Bill Anderson, and daughter-in-law, Paula Anderson.
