Billy Adair

Billy Allen Adair (79), departed this life on May 14, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1941, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was proud to serve his country in the National Guard. He worked at Agrico/Terra Nitrogen in the control room for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed eating, hunting, fishing, drinking coffee with his buddies, playing cards, reading and watching westerns.  He made friends wherever he went and always had many close friends. He leaves many close friends behind that will miss him dearly. He was a Christian, and he always loved going to church, starting with Greenbriar Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. He will be sorely missed by all his friends and family.

Funeral services for Billy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Wayne Keely officiating. Burial will follow at Benge Cemetery with Mike Ross, Todd Russell, Cade Russell, Carson Russell, Danny Vaughn, Zach Wallace serving as casket bearers. Come and go visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. He was survived by his wife, Flora Mae Mills; his daughters, Christal Dianne Adair and Angelia Gail Adair-Ross; son-in-law, Ewing Ross; stepson, Michael H. Ross and his wife Jeanie Ross; grand-daughters; Heather Groom-Thrailkill, Emily Varshay,  Chloe Varshay and Stevie Campbell; grandsons; Michael Ross and Justin Ross; sister, Norma Jean Patten, along with nieces and great-nephews whom he adored (and the feeling was mutual). He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Allen Adair and Bernice Norris Adair, his grandmother, Opal Norris and his sister Betty Thomason.
