Billy Dean Watkins, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 65. He was born on November 29, 1957, in Kansas City, MO, to his loving parents Ernest and May Watkins.

Billy was a man of many passions and interests. He found joy in playing horseshoes, working on cars, and playing pool. But above all else, he valued spending time with his cherished family. Whether it was a simple gathering or a special occasion, Billy always made sure to prioritize quality time with his loved ones.

Throughout his life, Billy was known for his warm personality and unwavering kindness. He had a way of brightening up any room he entered with his infectious smile and genuine love for life. His gentle spirit touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Billy is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Kerri Long. Together they created a beautiful family filled with love and laughter. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father to his sons: Dustin Watkins, Billy Watkins Jr., and Danny Parrish. Their bond was unbreakable and the memories they shared will live on in their hearts forever.

In addition to his immediate family, Billy leaves behind his loving brothers Kevin Watkins and Gene Burchett. Through thick and thin, they stood by each other's side as pillars of support. Their brotherly bond brought strength to their lives during difficult times.

Billy's presence will also be deeply missed by his siblings Diane Watkins and Sandy Watkins along with sister Mcurt. They shared countless joyful moments and created lifelong memories together.

Furthermore, Billy embraced the role of grandfather with great enthusiasm. He adored his five grandchildren: Cruz Parrish, Antonio  Parrish, Frankie Parrish, Kash Parrish, and Denahi Watkins. They brought him immense joy and he treasured every moment spent with them.

The impact of Billy's life extended far beyond his immediate family. He leaves behind a multitude of friends who will forever cherish the memories they made together. His warmhearted nature and genuine friendship meant the world to those fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

A visitation to honor Billy's memory will be held on September 14, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 1204 N. E. 1st St., Pryor, OK 74362. A funeral service will follow on September 15, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Burial will take place at Ballou Cemetery following the service. Pall Bearers will be, Cruz Parrish, Antiono Parrish, Frankie Parrish, Dale Watkins, and John Louis Watkins. Honorary Pall Bearers, Dustin Watkins, Keith Watkins and Steve Burchett.

As we mourn the loss of Billy Dean Watkins, let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived. May we find solace in the memories shared and draw strength from the love he bestowed upon us. Billy's legacy of kindness, love, and laughter will live on forever in our hearts.
