Billy Evans

Billy Lieth Evans, 78, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 7, 1936 in Enid, Oklahoma; the son of Benard and Doris (Dykes) Evans. Billy was an outdoorsman; enjoying fishing and hunting. He worked as a gunsmith most of his life and was a member of the Pryor Elks Lodge. He looked forward to spending time with his family and his two dogs. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Benson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery with Darrell Evans, Billy Evans, Alan Hufstutler, Talon Evans, David Hufstutler, and Charlie Thompson serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Billy is survived by his sons, Darrell Evans of Pryor, Oklahoma and Billy and wife Julia Evans of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; step - son, Alan Hufstutler and wife Debbie of Houston, Texas; brothers, Gary Evans of Dallas, Texas and Jim Evans and wife Gwen of San Bernardino, California; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benard and Doris Davis; wife, Ina Faye Evans and 3 brothers.
