Bobby Pitts, Jr.

Bobby Lee Pitts, Jr., 58, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, best friend and so much more, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was born on October 12, 1963, in Pryor; the son of Bobby Pitts, Sr. and Patricia (Cannady) Pitts. Bobby’s ability to make everyone feel loved or cared about were his greatest strengths. Bobby married Paula Basore and they have spent the last 30 years together and were reaching for 30 more. Not only was his passion his family, but also being a truck driver. Every day you could catch him working away at some issue on his truck. As many of you know Bobby, he was too “cheap” (his son Chris’s words) to pay someone else to do something he could do himself. But deep down he enjoyed it. Bobby had the privilege to work with one of his brothers every day at Pryor Stone, as well as caring and spending extra time with his father after his stroke. Bobby loved fishing, hunting, and camping, but even more so when his children and grandchildren could join. There was so much to love about Bobby that there will forever be a void to fill. Bobby is in heaven now, but he is looking down at us with a big smile on his face while reuniting with his mother and sister. Goodbye to and amazing man, you will forever be missed.

Graveside services for Bobby will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Adair Cemetery with Pastor Casey Whiteis officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Bobby is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; sons, Chris Hoffman and wife Tamra of Claremore, and Tyler Hoffman and wife Brittany of Chelsea; father, Bobby Sr.; brothers, Tommy Pitts and wife Collen of Bixby and Donnie Pitts of Bixby; 4 grandchildren, Lakin, Briar, Logan, and Tanner; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; son, Ricky Becerra; and sister, Tina Pitts.
