Bonita Biggs

Bonita (Bonnie) Dirck Biggs, 84, passed away May 25, 2012. She was born February 8, 1928 to John Sara Frances (Waybourn) Dirck in Tulsa, OK. Bonita was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Franklin A. Biggs, daughter Dana Lynn Johns, twin sister Vonita Dirck, sister Bernice Schaben, and brothers Bill, Bob, and Benny Dirck. She is survived by her son, Mike Biggs of Catoosa, OK, sister Beatrice June Hower of Port Hueneme, California, brother Johnny Burl Dirck of Owasso, OK. Six granddaughters; Aubree Johns Southern, Amber Johns Preble, and Alisha Johns, also Denise Biggs Kester, Dawn Biggs Downs, and Kendall Biggs, as well as 9 grandchildren: Gavin, Grayce, Hayden, Hadleigh, Madisen, Aidan, Alex, Grant, and Lane as well as a host of other relatives friends who mourn her passing but now celebrate her eternal life. Bonita lived a full life, mostly in the Tulsa area- but also in Langley, Ketchum, and Bartlesville. Most recently, after her daughter's death, in Broken Arrow at Vandever House senior living. She enjoyed quilting, antiques, puzzles. Bonnie was a strong willed soul, being one of the only people to ever survive tetanus as a child, as well as several other generally fatal illnesses, at the time in which they struck her, as a young child. She fought valiantly until the end. A graveside service will be held to celebrate Bonnie on Wednesday, May 30th at 10am in the Fairview Cemetery, Pryor, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral Cremation Service.
