Bonnie Jean Martin-Davis

Bonnie Jean Martin-Davis, a devoted family matriarch, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on March 5, 1950, in Pryor, Oklahoma, remaining a life-long resident. She was the daughter of Bill and Mildred Irene Martin. 

Bonnie attended Chouteau High School, graduating with the class of 1968. A dedicated and hardworking individual, she spent 33 years in service to the State of Oklahoma, demonstrating a commitment to her work that was matched only by her dedication to her family and friends. She was a proud member of the North Elliott Church of God, where her faith and friendships were dear to her.

Bonnie found joy in playing bingo at the Senior Center, a pastime that allowed her to relish the company of friends and fellow community members. 

She is survived by her sons, Gary Davis and wife Stormi of Pryor, OK, and Matthew Davis of Claremore, OK. Additionally, she leaves behind her brother, Billy Martin of Chouteau, OK; grandchildren, Jeni Davis, Joey Kilgore, Amanda Gardner, Melissa Bunnell, Valerie Davis, and Madison Pearce; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mildred Martin; her son, Paul Davis; her niece, Allison James; and her sister-in-law, Penny Martin.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Martin Family Cemetery in Chouteau with Reverend Ken Angel officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor. Matthew Davis, Jacob Martin, Jeremy Patton, Dallas Donnelly, Tim Gwartney, and Josh Gwartney will serve as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers include Billy Martin, Aedon Gardner, Jackson Bunnell, Mason Bunnell, Oliver Gardner, Axl Davis, Maxon Gardner, Alexander James, Kaeden James, and Declan Powers.
