Brenda Bandy

Brenda Faye Bandy, 62, of Salina, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 30, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the daughter of Sylvester and Bertha (East) Green. Brenda married Ron Bandy on January 6, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Salina First Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed sewing and was a member of a sewing group. She also enjoyed watching Bandy Motorsports race at the track. She loved her family and cherished each moment she had to spend with them. Brenda will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Salina First Baptist Church with Reverend Kenny Stacy and Reverend Lin Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma with Scott Laster, Tommy Laster, Raymond Green, Shane Alverson, Dan Backora, and Milton Goolsby serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Coy Alexander, John Baumert, Dennie Alberty, Michael O'Rourk, Bob Siens, and Jessie Tow. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Brenda is survived by her husband, Ron Bandy of the home; one son, Michael Bandy of Salina, Oklahoma; one daughter, Michelle and husband Ruben Morris of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Orval and wife Ahn Green of Tulsa, Oklahoma and John and wife Pam Green of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lillie and husband Allen Henderson of Salina, Oklahoma and Iona Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Kevin and Sarah Morris; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Bertha Green and three sisters.
