Brenda Duniphin

Brenda Faye Duniphin, 56, of Spavinaw, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 2, 1955 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the daughter of Hubert Swift and Alice (Bowline) Swift. She married Rick Duniphin on June 27, 1988 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Brenda spent her life making a home for her family. She dearly loved her family which included a Chinese pug, Sabrina. Brenda had a sweet spirit, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a strong individual who fought through various ailments and health conditions, while keeping a strong Christian faith, and a pleasant demeanor. Brenda will be missed and will remain in the hearts of each of us who knew her. Funeral Services for Brenda will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Blue Springs Church with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Interment will be in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery with Donald "Runt" Ingle, William "Squeal" Duniphin, Scott Newby, Shannon Horton, Paul Bryant and William Scharosch serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 1-5 on Sunday afternoon, Monday from 10-8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 68 p.m. that evening. She is survived by her husband, Rick of the home; her daughter, Brandy Kelly of Jay, OK; step-son, Brett Duniphin; one grandson, Joshua, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Alice Swift.
