Brian Bendabout

Brian Shane Bendabout, 46, of Locust Grove, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in Salina surrounded by family. He was born on September 11, 1974 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Judy Bendabout. He worked for many years for Locust Grove Public Schools. In his pastime, he enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and reading. He also enjoyed collecting action figures. Above all, Brian loved being with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Dewayne Bendabout officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Mitch Smith, Jesse Terhune, Jesse Grant, David England, Sonny Billey, Brandon Sawney serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Gabriel Elam, Seth Elam, Isaiah Hamilton. Brian is survived by his wife, Shannon Backwater; daughters;  Kaitlin Bendabout of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Erin Bendabout of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Grayce Sharp of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Shelby Jones of Salina, Oklahoma; step son, Brandon Backwater of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; fiancé, Sarah Budder and her children, Logan Thompson and husband Bradley of Salina, Abby Elam and Vincent Thompson of Pryor, Gabriel Elam of Salina, Seth Elam of Salina, and Isaiah Hamilton of Salina; brother, Brandon Sawney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and sister, Eliza Carroll of Salina, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Bendabout; grandma, Betty Bendabout; uncle, Grant Bendabout; and aunt, Peggy Bendabout and cousin, Robin Terhune.
