Bridge Chuckluck, Jr., 76, of Tahlequah, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was born on December 14, 1941 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Bridge and Annie (Beaver) Chuckluck. Bridge married Linda Nell Brewer on June 28, 1960 and they were married for 51 years, before her passing on November 28, 2010. He was saved and baptized at 12 years of age at New Jordan Baptist Church. He surrendered to the ministry at the Cherokee Baptist Association on the 3rd Wednesday in September 1970. Bridge earned his Associate Degree in Theology from South Western Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and had a Ministry Career spanning over 45 years. He was licensed June 28, 1972 and ordained on August 3, 1974. During his ministry, he served on the Board of Directors with Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma for 7 years, served as Associate Missionary through the Home Mission Board, Atlanta, Georgia, and church planter for BGCO off and on from 1976 to 2004. Bridge also served as Vice Director and Director of Indian Falls Creek in the 70's, served as Disaster Relief Director for Caddo County, Youth Director for Cherokee Baptist Association, Vice Moderator and Moderator of Muskogee Seminole Wichita Association in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Missionary - Director of Missions for Cherokee Baptist Association from July 1991 to 1997. Bridge pastored many different churches throughout his life, which included, Twin Oaks Baptist Church 1974 - 1976, Indian Capitol Baptist Church Anadarko, Oklahoma 1976 - 1980, Belvin Baptist (formerly 1st Indian Baptist) Okmulgee, Oklahoma 1980 - 1987, Glenpool Indian Baptist Mission 1987 - 1989, Indian Southern Baptist Church Wichita, Kansas 1989 - 1991, Salina First Indian Baptist Church, Salina Oklahoma 1997 - 2018, and also served in Panama Canal in Central America in 1992, and baptized 18 people in the Caribbean Sea. On January 14, 2012, Bridge married Mary Ann Nofire. He was an avid OU and Oklahoma Thunder fan, he enjoyed watching old westerns, singing, and playing the guitar. He liked to fish and hunt when he was able. Bridge loved to spend time with his grandchildren and children, but he always said if he knew how much fun grandchildren were, he would have had them first. Most of all, Bridge loved his Lord, and looked forward to reading, studying, and listening to the word of God.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 in the Cherokee Baptist Association Tabernacle in Tahlequah. Burial will follow in the Grass Cemetery in Salina with Jeremy Bacon, Wyatt Chuckluck DeWayne Chuckluck, Jonathon Bridge Chuckluck, RW Fouse, Aaron Wilson, and Jack Harris, Jr. serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Austin Bark, JR Soldier, MyKoda Bacon, Bennie Henson, Nick Durant, Jr., and Brian Soldier. Visitation and wake services will begin at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the Salina First Indian Baptist Church in Salina. Chuckluck and wife Felicia of Quapaw, Oklahoma, David Chuckluck and wife Cheryl of Lawrence, Kansas, Kristi Chuckluck of Muskogee, Oklahoma; step - children, Roger Fouse of Des Moines, Iowa and Marcus Fouse of Vinita, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeremy Bacon and wife Annette, Cortney Bacon, Jayme Chuckluck, Samantha Bark, Chasity Bark, Wyatt Chuckluck, Austin Bark, Jonathon Chuckluck, Annie Chuckluck, James Fouse, Rodney Fouse, and R.W. Fouse; great grandchildren, Adrionna Wapskineh, MyKoda Bacon, Miracle Decker, Bridget Bacon, Jaxton Decker, Immanuel Bacon, Gage Chuckluck, Noah Decker, Kylo Tobias Bark, Tye West, Shane West, Eli and Vincent Fouse; siblings, Raymond Chuckluck of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Sally Durant of Cherokee, North Carolina; adopted sisters, Margie Eglain and Mary Wolfe . He is preceded in death by his parents, Bridge and Annie Chuckluck, his wife, Linda Chuckluck, siblings, Jennie Harris, George Chuckluck, Richard Chuckluck, and James Chuckluck, step - sister, Fannie Kingfisher, and great grandchild, Aaiyana Tylee Bacon.
