Buford Pennington

Buford Wayne Pennington, 72, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on May 8, 1940 in Horatio, Arkansas, the son of Buford Pennington and Eugenia (Gore) Pennington. He married Ruth Donati who has preceded him in death. He was a carpenter by trade working for Cantera Construction. Buford loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed Rodeo and horses, at one time riding bulls. Buford enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving grandfather who leaves many wonderful memories for all to cherish. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman ‘s Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Gleason officiating. On Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 10 a.m. the family will have a service in the Wilkerson Funeral Home in DeQueen, Arkansas with interment following in Millwee Cemetery at Horatio, Arkansas. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home in Pyor, from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday evening. He is survived by his sons, Michael and wife, Pam Pennington of Grand Junction, CO, Steven and wife, Lisa Pennington of Pryor, OK and Jason and wife, Dusty Pennington of Chanute, KS; one brother, Thurman Pennington of Lockesburg, AR; one sister, Marva Wright of Broken Bow, OK; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. (Donati) Pennington; his parents, Buford and Eugenia Pennington.
