Carl Harris

Carl Faye Harris, 67, of Pryor, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1951 in Boatman, Oklahoma; the son of Clarence and Fredia (Cantrell) Harris. Carl faithfully served his country in the United States Army and after being honorably discharged, went to work as a mechanic for many years. He loved to tinker with cars and motorcycles, and work with his hands. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Carl is survived by his sons, Carl Harris, Jr. and Rebecca of Inola, Oklahoma, and English Dustin Harris of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Raymond Harris and wife Grace of Rose, Oklahoma and David Harris and wife Betty of Boatman, Oklahoma; sister, Geraldean Cantrell of Claremore, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Carolyn Chambers and Elizabeth Clanton; 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Harris and Fredia Harris; daughter, Myrtle Harris; and sisters, Wanda Brown and Roberta Williams.
