Carol June Boney, passed away on November 5, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on June 30, 1945, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Carol touched the lives of everyone she met with her kind heart and gentle spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carol's passion for music was evident from a young age. She found solace and joy in playing the piano and singing at church and nursing homes alongside her sister Edna Mae. Their harmonious voices brought comfort and happiness to those who needed it most. Carol's musical talent was a gift she generously shared with others. In addition to her devotion to music, Carol had an eye for treasures hidden within the world of yard sales. Cooking and especially baking filled her heart with joy as she delighted friends and family. In 1969, Carol married the love of her life, Thomas Boney. Their union was filled with love and laughter until Thomas sadly passed away in 1985. Although he is no longer physically present, their love remains eternal in Carol's heart. Carol's radiant spirit was beautifully showcased during holidays and family gatherings. She loved nothing more than bringing loved ones together to celebrate life's special moments. Her infectious laughter and genuine warmth created an atmosphere of love and togetherness that will be cherished forever.

Carol is survived by her sons; Greg Boney and wife Dianne of Salina, Oklahoma, Tim Boney and wife Lanora of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Todd Boney of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Boney; parents, Troy and Alta Mae (Turner) Stricklen; siblings; Loren Stricklen, Maurice Stricklen, Danny Stricklen, Oleta Rush, Mary Lou Ragsdale, Edna Mae Rogers, and Patsy Keener.
