Catherine Margaret Gangwer, 54, of Pryor, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on December 18, 1965 in La Mirada, California; the daughter of Jim and Catherine (McCormack) Long. Catherine married Michael Gangwer on July 2, 1988 in Gallup, New Mexico. She worked in the home all of her life, taking care of her husband and children. Catherine loved to travel, going camping and spending time outdoors. She also loved Broadway musicals, watching every episode of Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS. Her family fondly remembers her loving debating different topics and also loving Art and History. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and leaves behind many memories for them to remember.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020 in the St. Mark Catholic Church in Pryor with Father Valentine officiating. Catherine is survived by her husband, Michael Gangwer of the home; son, Jacob Gangwer and wife Ruthie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Katie Gangwer of Pryor, Oklahoma; mother, Catherine Phillips of Leach, Oklahoma; brothers, Michael Long and wife Belinda of Mesa, Arizona and Andrew Pemberton of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Shannon Long of Goodyear, Arizona, Serena Long of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Shiloh McLean and husband Scott of Mesa, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Long and son, Patrick Long.
