Chad Michael Nave, 36, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at his home. He was born on September 25, 1986 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the son of Gary and Tina (Jenkins) Nave. He graduated from Chouteau High School in 2005 and went on to begin his law enforcement career. Chad started in Locust Grove Police Department as a dispatcher and reserve officer and after earning his CLEET certification started at Chouteau Police Department. He then worked as a Mayes County Deputy Sheriff in the Narcotics Division and was proud of his work with his drug dog, Krekco and Titan. After his time as a Mayes County Deputy, Chad transferred to GRDA as a Patrol Officer, and ended his career in security for GRDA. Chad loved being an officer and enjoyed being a part of the Law Enforcement family. He had an infectious laugh and sense of humor and knew how to make those around him smile. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his dad and going shooting with his sisters. His family was his world and he looked forward to spending time with them every chance he got and especially had a special love for his son, Caleb. Chad leaves us much too soon and will be so missed by all who knew and loved him.
