Charles Wyndell Grissett, 75, of Chouteau, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 21, 1943 in Alford, Florida; the son of Leslie and Annabelle (Haddock) Grissett. Charles married Lawanna Perrette on February 22, 1969 in Hattisburg, Mississippi. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1962 until 1964 and served as a military policeman and armed guard. He retired from Buzzi Unicem, after working for the company many years. Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors; especially when he was working outside, gardening and going fishing. He also enjoyed working on cars. Charles loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them. He leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday May 18, 2018 in the Exciting Southeast Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Brock officiating. Charles is survived by his wife, Lawanna Perrette Grissett of the home; sons, Jeff Grissett and wife Michelle of Texas, Michael Grissett of Oklahoma, Sean Grissett and wife Lindsay of Oklahoma, and Jason Grissett of Oklahoma; daughter, Tina Blackwood and husband Jack of Colorado; brother, Lee Grissett and wife Patricia of Florida; sister, Joyce Strickland and husband Lonnie of Florida; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Annabelle Grissett; and 4 siblings.
