Charles Richard Lawrence, Jr., also affectionately known as Chip, passed away on June 17, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 19, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to his parents Charles Richard Lawrence, Sr. and Vera (Crabtree) Lawrence. Chip's life was a testament to humility, happiness, and humor; qualities that endeared him to many.
Chip had a passion for the open road and found joy in his work as a tow truck driver. Recently fulfilling a dream, he had just purchased a new motorcycle to further embrace his love for riding. Beyond his professional pursuits, Chip's kindness shone through in his daily gestures of sending affirmations to friends and sharing pictures of flowers with the special women in his life, including his wife and daughter. Known for his extensive circle of friends, Chip was a beloved member of his AA men's group in Tulsa. His camaraderie extended beyond meetings as he formed strong bonds with many individuals both within and outside the group.
Chip is survived by his wife, Kerrie Wester; son, Alex Lawrence and wife Rebekah of Spokane, Washington; Katherine Lawrence and fiancé Michael Lebarre of Battle Creek, Michigan; brothers, Wally Vloedman and wife Mary Susan, David Vloedman, and Charlie Vloedman; sister Cindy Henderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; mother of his children, Jo Anne Flory; as well as many extended family members and friends.
