Christine Pitts

Christine Louise Pitts, 60, of Chouteau, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was born on July 22, 1955 in Poteau; the daughter of Noel and Barbara (Southern) Sosebee. Christine earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in psychology from Northeastern University and worked as a purchasing agent for many years. Christine married Mike Pitts in the Oldham Baptist Church in Muskogee on May 14, 1988. She lived in Pryor for 20 years, after moving from Muskogee. Christine looked forward to going to garage sells and finding deals. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening and writing religious inspirational messages. She loved to help people get health support and free medication. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the First Baptist Church in Chouteau with Reverend Don Bendure officiating. Burial will held in the Chouteau West Cemetery with Nickolas Huitt, Derrick Morgan, Brent Grimes, Riley Cantrell, Arlis Alsip, and Russell Alsip serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jerry Huitt and Chad Calvert. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Chouteau. Christine is survived by her husband, Mike Pitts of the home; daughters, Windy Lee Huitt and husband Jerry of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kari Brown and husband Jason Brown of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Jamie Coblentz and husband Steven of Mazie, Oklahoma; Amanda and husband Chad Calvert of Adair, Oklahoma ; Kimberly and husband Derrick Morgan of Pryor, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Judy and husband David Green of Victoria, Texas; brother in law, Jimmy Denton of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Barbara Southern; and sister, Lisa Denton.
