Christopher "CJ" Buzzard

Christopher John “CJ” Buzzard, 51, of Watts, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Tulsa. He was born on May 19, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois; the son of Fallen Buzzard, Sr. and Wanda (Wesho) Buzzard. He married Maria Lazaro on February 28, 2001 in Miami, Oklahoma and they have celebrated almost 20 years of marriage. CJ enjoyed tinkering with things around the house and playing with electronic gadgets. He was also a wonderful cook and loved to make new things. He loved the outdoors and going fishing, and spending time with those he loved most. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather who leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in the Clouds Creek Cemetery in Colcord with Junior Wofford officiating. Burial will follow in the Clouds Creek Cemetery with Jonathan Buzzard, William Buzzard, Joseph Buzzard, Quinton Lee, Jackson Tanner, Trinton Nofire, Angel Buzzard, Johnny Foreman, and Freddie Foreman serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. CJ is survived by his wife, Maria Buzzard of the home; sons, Angel Buzzard of Noel, Missouri, Matthew Buzzard of Watts, Oklahoma and Fallen Buzzard of Watts, Oklahoma; daughters, Margarita De Paz of Noel, Missouri and Cassandra Buzzard of Noel, Missouri; brothers, Fallen Buzzard, Jr. and wife Belinda of Claremore, Oklahoma, Kenneth Buzzard of Watts, Oklahoma and John Buzzard of Watts, Oklahoma; sisters, Caroline Linn and husband Jerry of Watts, Oklahoma and Verna Vann of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Isaac, Joseph, and Melanie; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fallen Buzzard, Sr. and Wanda Buzzard, and brother, Ricky Buzzard.
