Clarence "Mac" Blackwell, 67, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 30, 1947 in Martha Brown, Oklahoma, the son of Clarence M. Blackwell Sr. and Myrtle (Blackwell) Blackwell. He married Sondia Durkee on April 10, 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mac worked for ATT as a cable splicer for many years, training many other men along the way. Mac enjoyed fishing mostly for Bass and Crappie. He also enjoyed deer hunting and just being outdoors. He was "PawPaw" to his grandchildren and devoted husband and father. Mac dearly loved his Lord and worked as the Northeastern Oklahoma Regional Representative for Independent Assemblies Fellowship. He was the director of the Mac Blackwell Ministries. He and Sondia attended Word Fellowship in Chouteau, Oklahoma where they were Helps Director. A Godly man who loved his Lord, his family and his friends, he leaves a wonderful legacy for each of us to follow. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Mac's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Word Fellowship in Chouteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Mac is survived by his wife, Sondia of the home; his parents, Clarence Sr. and Mrytle Blackwell; his children, Andrew and wife, Joann Blackwell of Glenpool, OK and Brian and wife, Stephanie Blackwell of Bixby, OK; grandchildren, Seth, Kaleb, Shelbe, Haley, Hattie, Madison and Josie; great grandchildren, Emma, Mason and Macee; sisters, Billie and husband, Gary Crow of Wagoner, OK, Jeanette and husband, Dan Scott of Coweta, OK, Sue and husband, Paul Ford of Tulsa, OK and Ida and husband, Gary Brown of Bixby, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends.
