Claude William Morrow, 79, of Chouteau, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on December 29, 1934 in Coweta, Oklahoma; the son of Floyd R. Morrow and Opal L. (Beasley) Morrow. Claude married his sweetheart, Frances Withers, on October 5, 1956 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Together, they raised a family and lived in the Chouteau area for 51 years. Claude faithfully served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Chouteau. Claude also was a member of the Chouteau Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was also a past Fire Chief of Chouteau. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially when he was fishing or hunting. Claude loved to visit with people; he never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone he would meet. Above all, he loved his family and cherished each moment he had to spend with them. He will be remembered by all the memories he leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Claude is survived by his wife, Frances Morrow of the home; 2 sons, Raymond and wife Sherri Morrow of Chouteau, Oklahoma and William and wife Paula Morrow of OFallon, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Opal Morrow, his son, Michael Morrow, brother, Donald Morrow and sister, Ima Jean Capehart.
