Clayton Deon Maples, 49, of Salina, passed from this life on Thursday, March 24 in Grove. He was born on January 10, 1973 in Gravette, Arkansas; the son of Bob and Karen (Seabolt) Kirby. He devoted 15 years as an employee to Pryor Stone and spent over 20 years at Cobb. He enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar, and loved to travel any chance he could. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, specifically his wife until her passing in 2015 and his favorite was spending time with his grandkids. He leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The funeral service for Clayton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Euwasha Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Burial will follow in the Euwasha Cemetery with Carl Kirby, Randy Wadlow, Henry Brixey, Ben Backwater, Jim McKibben, and Sonny King serving as casket bearers. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. He is survived by his son, Carl Kirby and April of Kenwood; step-children, Curtis Wadlow, Randy and Alexsa Wadlow, and Amber Roland, all of Kenwood; and grandkids, Leon, Laya, and Landon Kirby, Aleah Walters, Hunter, Raeden, and Rilynn Wadlow, Lexidale and Rex Chancellor, and Linkin Roland. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Karen; and his wife, Valerie Wadlow.
